Structural Steel Purchasing Service
We provide a low cost and reliable service purchasing fabricated structural steel from China.
All materials used are subject to third party testing to ensure all engineering and Australian Standards requirements are met or exceeded. The entire fabrication process and quality system is monitored in house, by Arcimet, from day one to shipping day.
We ensure all Australian Standards are adhered to and all steel members are fabricated and finished with the required surface treatments.
Structural Steel Loading Service
After the members are re inspected and the required surface finish has been achieved they are packed onto custom built skids strapped down and the packed skids are then end loaded into 40’ containers with each container holding between 15-20 tons of steel.
Once all members have been accounted for and container packing lists have been completed the containers are then sent to the shipping agents port facility.
Unloading the containers on site is a relatively simple task, the container is placed on the ground, international shipping seal is removed and the skid can then be removed by using a mobile crane.
The container can then be reloaded onto transport and removed from site. The skid can also be moved around the site to facilitate erection.
Once the steel has been unloaded on site Arcimet will with the assistance of the builders representative complete a final quantity check to ensure all members have been delivered.
Structural Steel Delivery Service
On most projects, steel can be on site within 10 weeks after receiving IFC drawings/Deposit. On larger projects, we recommend using an erection sequence programme where the steel is fabricated loaded and shipped according to the builders requirements.
Some sites do not have the room to unload 15-20 containers in one delivery.
Our supplier is a Shanghai based company in Baoshan District. The company has strong engineering ability and an advanced steel fabrication facility.
We have a 22,000 sq met yard with 11,000 sq met workshop, 6,000 sq met blast and paint facility, and a 2,100 sq met office complex all located at the same address.
Monthly output capacity is 800 – 1,200 MT and an annual capacity of 12,000 – 20,000 Tonnes.
Trading Terms
30% Deposit.
50% Pre shipping.
A 10% payment is to be made once steel has been delivered to site and
accounted for. After certification the remaining 10% is to be paid (maximum 3 months).
